Creative Fundraising Ideas You Can Do From Home

Not everyone can attend an event or donate on a set schedule — and that’s okay. Some of the most meaningful support comes from everyday people doing simple, heartfelt things right where they are.

Here are a few creative, at-home fundraising ideas that make a very real difference for the children we serve:

  1. Birthday Generosity
Instead of gifts, ask friends to donate toward Project Nic in honor of your birthday. Every dollar becomes something needed — a meal, a uniform, a safe place to sleep.
  2. Family “Change for Change” Jar
Set out a jar in your kitchen and collect loose change for a month. Families are often surprised by how much adds up when everyone participates.
  3. Host a Heart-at-Home Garage Sale
Clear out what you no longer need and donate the proceeds. One neighbor’s declutter can become school supplies or food for a child across the world.
  4. Create Your Own Mini Challenge
Walk a mile a day for a week, bake and sell cookies, or do a simple service challenge. Invite others to join you and give a small amount per mile, item, or hour.
  5. Honor Someone You Love
Give a donation in someone’s name for the holidays, a memorial, or a milestone. It’s a powerful way to extend their legacy.

You don’t need a stage or a spotlight to change a life.
Sometimes, meaningful action begins right at home — with whatever you have, wherever you are, and whoever you can reach.
